Fellow Citizens

I find it terribly narrow to consider my fellow citizen only someone born in my country, who shares my genetic and cultural heritage. Already in the 1st century SENECA declared: “It is a disgrace to harm any man, for every man is your fellow citizen in a greater homeland.” … Twenty centuries later, how far behind we still are is worrying!
